Repurposing the wall I originally built for the “Time Flies” mural, this its the third painting to go up on this canvas, and will eventually be covered up as well. I had wanted to paint an Angler Fish for quite some time, and I’m thrilled with how this one turned out. The wall sits directly below a street light, which makes it extremely bright at night, except for a large tree that creates a prominent shadow over a portion of the image. I aimed to, at night, hide the majority of the fish inside this shadow and let her light draw prey in.
